In honor of #GivingTuesday, Phillies Charities, Inc. recognized 35 local charities and organizations at its annual Holiday Giving Party at Citizens Bank Park this past Tuesday. The BennettStrong Foundation was on hand, including co-founders Mary and Greg Pellegrino, as one of the community heroes being honored for its charitable efforts.
More than $525,000 in grants from Phillies Charities, Inc. were awarded to 35 organizations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and in areas near the Phillies minor league affiliates to help continue their charitable efforts.
Mary Pellegrino spoke about the impact BennettStrong Foundation has had on the community and how the grant will help further enhance the foundation’s parent survival kits project with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
In the past year, Phillies Charities, Inc. awarded more than $2 million to a variety of charitable organizations.
